The art of Graceful Endings

Graceful exits

Graceful endings

We all can make them post-escape

We all know what to say after we say it

We all know what to do after it is to late

We stumble and fall and no one is laughing

We cry and scream and nobody cares

We hold on tight and slip though the fingers

We walk away turning our backs

Graceful ending is art on its own

Art of exits before curtain falls

Masters of this art have no feelings

They play the notes right, each time

They don’t stumble or cry

They don’t scream or fall

They don’t feel at all

They know how to exit gracefully and perfect

They know the end and they don’t care

Us, we left to always wonder

What if…
