Dear Diary,
Do you know what day it is today? Well, it was yesterday for us (Australia) but is still today for some parts of the world. Do you?
I’ll tell you. In 1937,
Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell wins the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.
Gone with the Wind is one of my favourite novels of all time. I read it when I was about 13. Then, I won the book (a very beautiful edition) for Literary Competition in Year 10. Then…
Then, I grew up but some of Scarlett O’Hara’s principles and quotes stayed with me.
Who can forget Mr Butler (Clark Gable) and his ATTITUDE?
But my all time favourite quotes from both the book and the movie are these two
What about you? What are your favourite quotes from GwtW?
Share, why don’t you?
This is a book I am yet to read (although I own a copy). My husband and mother-in-law love Gone with the Wind! I should pick it up soon! 🙂

Well… it’s one of the ‘foundation’ books, I think. I hated classical lit at school but these books “Gone with the Wind”, “Konsuello”, etc were very important for me…
