Alma Road Community House has opened its doors for the second time this year to fashion designers, milliners, jewellers and accessories makers from all over Australia.
2nd Fashion Bazar run successfully last Sunday 14 October. It saw many visitors from all ages and nationalities.
It had entertainment for kids from Smart Party Entertainment. There were soap bubbles and colourful slime. There was laughter and bursts of energy from little guests and their parents who got some respite to browse, taste and buy.
Ladies were entertained by Frank Lee Darling. We all fell in love with this nice, gentle and super talented man who helped to create very warm, welcoming and relaxing atmosphere.
There were dances and songs, Russian salad and Napoleon (vanilla slice) to keep every visitor and stall holder going for the whole busy but exciting day.
Bazar’s creator and host fashion-designer herself Yulia Kolosova made sure everyone was settled, happy and was enjoying themselves. Ms Kolosova presented her own creations: accessories and ladies fashion – fusion of off-the-rack clothes and folk motifs (Russian scarves).
Among stall-holders were healthy lifestyle products and natural cosmetic, paintings and prints, and felting, handbags and Russian colourful scarves, Tahitian pearls and women fashion and head accessories just in time for Melbourne Cup. Guests were able to taste and sample organic nuts and juices from organic produce stall. Also, there were exciting and interesting interior design ideas and accessories for home.
There was a special guest at the Bazar – Ekaterina Danova – amazing lady, who came to Australia being of mature age and whose English is to be desired for. However, she has done something that none of us even thought of. She wrote and self-published 11 books (to date) on interesting facts of Australian History. In her interview Ms Danova admitted that there is still a bottomless ocean of information, fact, secrets, clues even though Australia is considered to be quite a young country. Hopefully, Ms Danova’s books will be translated into English Language at some point. So everyone can access the vault of knowledge she acquired in her research.
Fashion Bazar has run its course. However, we are already planning for the next one – 16 December. This one will be all about holiday season, presents and decorations, summer and new beginnings.
Join us for fun, celebration all things fashion.
